GPM wins a 2012 Dunamis award!

Groupe Premier Médical inc. – Recipient of a Dunamis prize in the category “Service Industry – 16 or more employees”

It is with great pride that GPM was honoured with this title this past Wednesday evening, April 18th at the Dunamis gala hosted by the Laval Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In its 31st year, the gala celebrates excellence in the Laval business community.

We would like to thank the Laval Chamber of Commerce and Industry for this incredible opportunity.

This prize reflects the success of our business model and affirms to us that we are achieving our goal of standing out in the group insurance industry.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to those who have helped us achieve this success: our employees and our clients. Without their loyalty, this prestigious achievement would not have been possible and this motivates us to continue attaining our goals. We consider ourselves lucky to have such a numerous and diverse clientele, but more importantly, a loyal clientele.

It is through our combined efforts and hard work that we are able to be recognized as a viable alternative to traditional group insurance models. It is thanks to you that we can continue rethinking group insurance.

Thank you for your confidence and support!

Radio-Canada exposes the truth…

…behind the high cost of medication:

Pharmacists set any price, you pay it and it directly increases your group insurance rates.

We would like to share a report that was aired last week by Radio-Canada that investigates the situation surrounding the high price of medication in pharmacies across Quebec. Considering the potential financial impact of this factor in your group insurance plan and the fact that we have recently developed tools specifically to control this aspect, we thought this report would be of great interest.

We have also developed a new tool: a direct payment card that you can use at any pharmacy which covers you for the average market price of the medication. This protects you from the arbitrary prices set by pharmacists and encourages shopping around for the best price for the most savings for your group. We have three different levels of plans which we can present to you personally.

In addition, we offer a Generic Plan option which will default to the generic when available, which will help to limit the cost of prescription drugs.

We also suggest that you use the services of Hazboun and Menhem Pharmacy which is affiliated with Xpresspharm. Based on our experience and feedback from clients, their economic, efficient and friendly service has contributed to controlling the costs of many group insurance plans.

For more details, please CONTACT US or call your account manager directly to inquire about these opportunities.

by Ramy Hazboun, Xpresspharm

The introduction of Bill 41 on November 15, 2011, attracted the attention of the public and the media, and not just with respect to the bill itself. Its tabling renewed the debate on the appropriateness of allowing others to perform activities reserved to doctors by the laws of Québec.
Bill 41, adopted on December 8, draws on the content of recent amendments to pharmacy laws in other Canadian provinces in order to facilitate the lives of citizens who do not have ready access to a family doctor or who consult their pharmacist due to minor health problems and symptoms. keep reading
